Matt Damon has been crowned People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive”.

The 37-year-old actor, best known for his role as Jason Bourne, initally said that he didn’t feel worthy of the accolade.

Damon’s “irresistible sense of humour, heart-melting humility” and “rock-solid family man” status made him the logical winner, People said.

Damon is married to Luciana Bozan and has a one-year-old daughter, Isabella, and a nine-year-old stepdaughter.

Past winners of People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” include George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.
