Mary-Kate Olsen was hospitalised after suffering a kidney infection. Rumors have spread that her eating disorder may be to blame.

Olsen was rushed to the emergency room earlier today, and is now reportedly “resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so.”

The “kidney infection” explanation has started rumors Olsen may again be fighting an eating disorder.

Troubled celebrity Lindsay Lohan told Vanity Affair in an interview last year that she developed a kidney infection when she was suffering bulimia.

Olsen, was treated for an eating disorder in 2004 at Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehabilitation centre.
